We are in our early ’50s, and have been married for over 32 years. My wife, Stilla, is from Bavaria in Germany. We were married in 1983 and have three wonderful kids and one Grandchild. I originally hail from the Colorado Springs / Denver area but joined the Army in 1981 and ended up serving over 26 years. Sixteen of those years, (non-consecutive) were spent in overseas assignments. While stationed overseas in Germany, which is where I met Stilla, we were fortunate enough to be able to tour quite a bit of Europe (by car and motorcycle) when I wasn’t deployed to such places as; Korea, Kosovo, Egypt, Turkey and Iraq.
I retired from the Army in 2007 as a CW4 (Chief Warrant Officer Four). We purchased our first motorhome in 2005; a 27′ Fleetwood Jamboree (Class C). We enjoyed many trips throughout the southwest with family and friends while living in the Colorado Springs area. Meanwhile, I worked for another 7 years at the Missile Defense Agency in Colorado Springs as a Government Civilian until May of 2014. I resigned my position (for health and other reasons) so we could enjoy life on our own terms now that the kids are all finally out of the house.
We started “full-timing” in our Motorhome on the 2nd of May 2014 and sold the house in July of 2015 when the renters just didn’t work out. Follow along with us on our full-time RV adventure…
